Limestone grinding and processing

The main component of limestone is calcium carbonate (CaCO3), with a Mohs hardness of 3. It is divided into quicklime and slaked lime. After limestone is mined from limestone, it is crushed to form limestone particles, i.e. stone and sand, or further ground to form limestone powder, which is widely used in building materials, roads, metallurgy, chemical industry and other industries.
 

Limestone processing technology

1/Feeding system

The limestone in the hopper enters the bucket elevator through a belt conveyor (with iron remover). The elevator sends the material to the raw material bin for grinding. A belt feeder is installed at the bottom of the raw material bin to evenly feed the material into the grinding mill for grinding

2/Grinding system

The material is fed into the European mill for grinding. The finished product passes through the powder selector, enters the cyclone powder collector and pulse dust collector for collection, and is sent to the screw conveyor from the lower discharge port

3/Finished product conveying system

A pneumatic conveying system is installed at the outlet of the screw conveyor to transport the finished product to the finished product bin. Excess gas is filtered by the bin top dust collector

4/Dust removal system

The whole system is equipped with three pulse dust collectors, and exhaust ports are installed at all dust-raising points to ensure that there is no dust leakage in the whole system and dust-free operation is achieved on site
